Doctoral researcher

My prime activity during the doctoral programme is to conduct research in statistics of rare and extreme events. Specifically, my contribution is to develop suitable statistical methodologies for analyzing cross-sectional and temporal extremal dependence in heavy-tailed time series. This work is done in collaboration with and is supervised by Johan Segers.

Beside research, I also teach a “nonparametric smoothing” course for graduate students in statistics and a “probability and statistics” course for master students in engineering.
